If Only I had Fur...

I prefer to observe the human animal from a safe distance.  One can never really be quite certain what they will do.  Though they are quite predictable in many of their more habitual mannerisms, and their tendency towards flocking behaviors is quite easy to understand,  I fear them in a way I fear no other creature on this planet .

For only humans can appear to be domesticated just so they can get close. A dog doesn't wag his tail just so he can lure you in to devour you.  No.  When it comes to canines,  they are honest.

If they like you,  you know it. If they don't like you,  they are quite clear on that as well.  A wag of the tail,  a curl of the lip.

While they do occasionally seem to act unreasonably,  I often find that a situation when viewed from the dogs perspective makes perfect sense.

If only I had been born into this life as a dog,  or a cat,  or a horse,  or a bird.  Or a rat.  I'm sure life would make more sense,  if only I had fur.
